Brighten Up Your Bathroom This Christmas

At Christmas or other festive times of year, we like to go all out and decorate our homes to reflect the festivity. Most people will focus on the living areas of the home for their decorating, while totally ignoring one of the most indispensable rooms of the home; the bathroom.

It would be fun to give your family and guests something festive to cast their gaze on while in the bathroom. Why not dress up the bathroom window with a cheerful Christmas window treatment. You could make it as simple or as extravagant as you like.

I wouldn't go using homemade paper ornaments on the windows in this room, as the moisture that builds up will likely cause any coloring-in of said paper decorations to smudge or run, ruining our perfectly made and colored home made decorations.

But there's no reason why you couldn't throw a bit of tinsel up across the window, or hang a few gold plastic bells, or other Christmassy items along the top of the curtain rod.

To add to the Christmas theme you might like to purchase some towels in the colors of Christmas or with Christmas motifs either embroidered or printed on them. Add some matching hand towels and face cloths and the bathroom is starting to look a lot like Christmas.

There are some unique shower curtains you could buy to add more to your festive bathroom decor. You could buy a shower curtain in one bold Christmas color like red, green or gold (to blend with the towels) or purchase one of the Christmas shower curtains available at the moment. You can use the cute Santa shower hooks to hang it. Or you could do something even more unusual. You can now get shower curtains that can have your family photos printed on them.

If you were organised enough to get a holiday portrait done to have printed on your Christmas cards, you could use that same photo, get it enlarged and have it printed on a shower curtain. You could even get the kids to do some holiday drawing/coloring-in, take photos of those and get them printed up on a shower curtain,

That would certainly give your bathroom a unique look for Christmas, and provide something interesting for guests to look at in the bathroom; it would certainly be an interesting talking point for your family and friends during the Holidays.
